My original inspiration for photography began in northwestern Wisconsin observing the hilly farm and lake country landscapes.

I was drawn to the Rockies and Montana about thirteen years ago and have been fascinated with the land and photographic opportunity since. For me photography is about the balance between control and curiosity.

And although I am currently exploring digital avenues, the painted-effect in the majority of these images was created through a combination of traditional photography techniques.
